Meet Daniel and Amanda...

Last night, my brother Daniel, proposed to his girlfriend Amanda and surprised her with an engagement party. Amanda's birthday was on January 8th but Daniel really wanted to surprise her, while making their engagement date meaningful. He thought she might be hoping for a ring on her birthday so he planned to propose a week later, January 15th, to throw her off. Daniel planned a "birthday party" for Amanda, realizing he couldn't hide such a large event from her.

He invited family and friends to Bardenay (a Basque restaurant), where we excitedly waited for their arrival.

Daniel kept the day casual for Amanda. He took her to breakfast, then dropped her off at work so she wouldn't have a car, and he could pick her up after work for the party.

After work, he took her back to her house under the pretense that he had to "pick something up." Once inside he surprised her with a Hope Chest and a bottle of wine that read: January 15th, 2010, Will you let me love you forever? Daniel and Amanda Kircher. She was surprised by the bottle and while distracted he got down on one knee and asked her to be his bride.

They arrived at the restaurant glowing and celebrated long into the night!

Amanda is an amazing woman of God and fits into our family perfectly. We can't get enough of her smile and laugh. Daniel is a blessed man and his thoughtfulness putting together the proposal shows his dedication to being a caring husband.
